CENTERBURG — Kayla Larimore keeps adding to an already-impressive résumé.
Centerburg’s junior wing, Larimore was selected the Knox Morrow Athletic Conference Player of the Year when the All-KMAC teams were unveiled.
The 5-foot-10 Larimore led the KMAC in scoring, averaging 19.4 points a game during the regular season. The Trojans (18-5, 9-3) won an outright KMAC title, finishing a game ahead of Cardington and Danville.
Centerburg’s Bill Abner was selected the KMAC Coach of the Year. The Trojans will play Cardington in the Division III district semifinals at 7 p.m. Monday at Westerville North.
Centerburg’s Tiara Sheppard was selected to the All-KMAC first team, along with Danville’s Ella Proper and Kylee Hess, East Knox’s Sydney Opfer and Fredericktown’s Cally Carpenter. Other first-teamers included Cardington’s Abigail Hardwick and Mount Gilead’s Faith White.
Second-team picks were Centerburg’s Kenlee Fairall, Danville’s Jaylyn Smith, Fredericktown’s Ella Bouton, Cardington’s Jill Bertke, Mount Gilead’s Aubrey Thomas and Northmor’s Shelby Cooper.
Centerburg’s Kennedi Glenn, Danville’s Grace Gronberg, East Knox’s Isabelle Bostic and Fredericktown’s Mya Bryant were honorable-mention selections. They were joined by Cardington’s Madison Caulkins, Mount Gilead’s Greer Simpson and Northmor’s Madison Simpson.
The KMAC’s all-academic picks included Cardington’s Genevieve Longsdorf, Centerburg’s Clara Johnson, Danville’s Broegan Staats, East Knox’s Jayden Annett, Fredericktown’s Emily Feeney and Mount Gilead’s Aubrey Thomas.
