MOUNT VERNON – Experience Mount Vernon has announced the 2024 First Friday Season and exhibitor registration information.
First Fridays, which take place in Downtown Mount Vernon June-September, are community-wide events with something for the whole family.
2024 First Friday Dates:

● July 5
● Aug. 2
● Sept. 6
Guests will travel back to the 1980s at June First Friday, presented by Sara Mankins, and it’s going to be an epic experience that you won’t want to miss.
This totally tubular journey will transport you back in time and leave you feeling nostalgic for the days of big hair, bright colors, and awesome music.
So, mark your calendar and help us party like it’s 1984.
Get excited to relive the good ol’ days of summer camp at July First Friday.
This event, presented by Griffin Insurance, is jam-packed with family-friendly activities that will take place on Public Square and all around Downtown. From exciting games to captivating performances, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
So, head Downtown on July 5 and join in a night of fun and nostalgia.
August First Friday will be here before you know it, and it’s going to be doggone amazing.
What’s better than a parade of cute pups dressed up in their best outfits.
WNZR is hosting the Dog Days of Summer Dog Costume parade, and this is a chance to see all the adorable pups strutting their stuff.
So, mark your calendars and join the fun at this fur-tastic event.
Celebrate the start of the school year with September First Friday, presented by The Freedom Center.
This is a welcome to town for some of the institutions in the area, including Kenyon College, Central Ohio Technical College, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and the Knox County Career Center Schools, all coming together on Public Square.
It’s going to be an exciting event full of fun, learning, and community spirit.

Registration for exhibitors is now open for the upcoming First Friday season.
Organizations should register early for each month they plan on attending, as spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Exhibitor registration is a TWO-STEP process: 1) Fill out the exhibitor registration form, and 2) Fill out the exhibitor space selection form.

Classic car enthusiasts are invited to attend the 2024 First Friday Cruise-Ins scheduled for June 7 and Aug. 2.
