Carolyn L. Ransom, age 90, of Howard passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at her home.
She was born on January 23, 1933, in Mount Vernon to the late John and Berdella (West) Warman. She was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church and also attended the Utica United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Guild in Utica and the Utica LaSertoma Club. She enjoyed her close friends, and her canine companions Buddy, Zippy, and Tonya. But most of all, Carolyn loved the time she spent with her family.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, John (Pat) Ransom, Douglas (Heidi) Ransom, Randall (Peggy) Ransom; her daughter Vicki (Christina Thomas) Ransom; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; her brother John (Mary) Warman; and her sister Jean Wittenmeyer.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Myron Abe Ransom; her son Stephen Dave Ransom; and her sister Joan Bastin.
Friends may call on Friday, July 7, 2023, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home from 11am – 1pm. A service will follow, beginning at 1pm, with Rev. Jerry Ernst officiating. Burial will take place in Friendship Cemetery.
