George Szekely, 29, of Mount Vernon was charged just before 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday with theft from Wal-Mart and with possession of drugs. He was then arrested for a parole violation.
Carl A. Wells, 32, of Mount Vernon was picked up at around 6:10 p.m. on Wednesday at an apartment on the 200-block of Shirley Avenue for a parole violation.
Joshua Shannon, 31, of Mount Vernon was charged at around 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday for aggravated trespassing at an apartment on the 700-block of Follin Avenue.
Aaron Taylor, 40, of Mount Vernon was charged just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with possession of drug paraphernalia at the Kroger Shopping Plaza. He was then arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Jeremiah O’Neil, 27, of Mount Vernon was charged just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday a parole violation at the Kroger Shopping Plaza.
Zachary Ford, 21, of Mount Vernon was picked up just before 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday for an outstanding warrant.
Traffic Violations
Kasandra Swick, 25, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday for driving with expired plates.
Randall W. Ruckel, 53, of Mount Gilead was cited at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday for running a stop-sign.
Accidents
At 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, David Boe, 58, of Fredericktown was parked in a parking space at the Kroger parking lot. When he backed his 1997 Ford F-150 out of the space, he struck a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer, driven by Wendy M. Wise, 38, of Mount Vernon, who was heading southbound down the lane of travel.
Incidents
At around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, an A/C compressor unit was reported stolen from the Mount Vernon Inn on High Street.
Just after noon on Wednesday, an officer responded to a report of a theft from an apartment on the 200-block of E. Burgess Street. The victim reported that a black Toshiba laptop had been taken and a suspect was identified.
Just after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a resident of the 400-block of N. Mulberry Street reported that he had found a girl’s bicycle in his driveway on Saturday morning. He moved it to the tree near the road, figuring that whoever had lost it would see it there. It sat for a few days and nobody came to get it. An officer took the bicycle into custody and took it to the MVPD impound lot.
At 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a resident of the 300-block of N. Harrison Street reported that his credit card had been fraudulently maxed out at $5000.00. A suspect was identified.
Just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer responded to a vandalism complaint at the Kroger parking lot. Suspects were identified and charged with a variety of offenses.
At around 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday called the 911 Dispatch Center to report a disorderly male on the 700-block of Follin Avenue. A suspect was identified and charged.
