Incidents:
At 10:25 a.m. on Wednesday, a victim reported the theft of a PlayStation 4 and a Grand Theft Auto 4 video game from a residence on the 100-block of E. Chestnut Street. A suspect was identified.
At 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer collected for safe disposal a used syringe found on the 100-block of Coshocton Avenue.
At 6:05 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a theft complaint at the Kroger. A Loss Prevention Associate informed them that a cashier had stolen money from Register #5. When confronted about the shortage, the cashier admitted to taking the money, took a $100 bill and a $50 bill from his pocket, and returned it. The cashier—who was identified in the report—admitted to the officers that he had taken them money. Three security DVDs were collected as evidence.
Traffic Citations:
Shain Haggadone, 45, of Elk Creek, MO was cited at 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday for illegally turning at an intersection.
Accidents:
At 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Trudy D. McDonald, 70, of Marion was stopped in her 2013 Chevy Traverse at the traffic-light facing southbound in the left lane of S. Mulberry Street at the Gambier Street intersection. Shain Haggadone, 45, of Elk Creek, MO was traveling southbound in the right-lane in a semi-trailer truck, attempted to make a left turn onto W. Gambier Street, and struck McDonald’s vehicle. Haggadone was cited for the incident.
