MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Treasurer Shelley Coon announces real estate taxes are due on Friday, July 9, 2021.
The Treasurer’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office will be closed Monday, July 5 in observance of July 4.
You may pay on line at www.co.knox.oh.us (Treasurer’s site) or by phone at 1-877-690-3729 using jurisdiction code 7811. The service provider, Forte Payment Systems, does charge a service fee.
Park National Bank offices in Knox County will also accept real estate payments through July 9 but you must present tax statement at the bank to pay.
Payments received by mail must have July 9, 2021 postmark to avoid a late payment penalty.
Property owners are reminded they are responsible for paying their taxes even if a statement is not received. Anyone who has not received a tax bill should contact the Treasurer’s Office at 740-393-6735.
