Barbara Lynn “Bobbie” Elswick, age 68, of Mount Vernon passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026.
She was born on December 23, 1957, in Grundy, Virginia to the late Floyd and Goldie (Van Dyke) Elswick Jr. Bobbie was employed at the Country Club Retirement Campus for numerous years. She had a love for animals and enjoyed going to the beach and coloring. But most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family.
Bobbie is survived by her son Nathaniel Elswick; her grandson Kohan Elswick; her niece Arlesa (Jason) Harriman; her great niece Haleigh Harriman; and her nephews Roger (Julie) Moody and Travis (Cheryl) Moody.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Moody.
In keeping with Bobbie’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private gathering at a later date.
