Ronald Lawrence Schultz, a devoted father, faithful mentor, and child of God, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 79 on September 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on October 26, 1946 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio, Ronald lived a life rooted in faith, simplicity, and dedication to those he loved. He spent his days reading his Bible, exploring bike trails with family, planting a vegetable garden, and watching John Wayne and Elvis movies and re-runs of the Original Star Trek. He was a familiar face at his church’s men’s breakfasts, enjoying fellowship, shared wisdom, and a good cup of coffee.
Ronald’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. A deep and dedicated spiritual mentor, he lived out his beliefs with a quiet, steady strength. He took great joy in discipling others after they came to Christ, leaving a lasting legacy of faith, guidance, and love in the hearts of his family and friends. In accordance with his wishes, he faced life’s final chapters with grace, prioritizing peace, dignity, and comfort. He is survived by his daughter, Angela (John) Parrett; his siblings, Doug (Cid Brush) and Stephen (Glenna) Schultz, Penny Horn, Tyrone Horn, Matthew Horn and multiple nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Judy Schultz, his father, Leo Schultz, his mother, Sadie Horn, and his twin brother, Donald Schultz.
