Jo Ann (Perrine) Durbin, age 77, of Gambier was welcomed home by her Savior on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Knox Community Hospital.
She was born on April 23, 1949, in Newport News, Virginia to the late Jewell and Dorothy (Hinkle) Perrine. Jo Ann was a generous and loving rock of her family. She loved the Lord and her family always came first. She also loved music and played in a band, Owl Creek Band and Double Hearts Music.
Jo Ann is survived by her companion, of over 20 years, Gene Sexton; her brothers, Jewell “Gene” (Barb) Perrine, Steven (Pam) Perrine, James “Butch” (Lisa) Perrine; her sister Phyllis (Larry) Oliver; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband Steven Durbin; and three sisters, Ellen Perrine, Brenda Perrine, and Linda Perrine.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Snyder Funeral Home – Flowers Chapel (619 East High Street, Mount Vernon) from 1-2PM. A service will follow, beginning at 2PM, with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will take place in Workman Cemetery in Danville, Ohio.
