Jarrod Bryan Clinedinst, age 38, passed away suddenly September 24 following a short illness.
He was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late John Clinedinst and Peggy (Sheasby) deVillers. Jarrod was a 2006 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He attended The Ohio State University and Hocking College. He was an employee of Kokosing Construction. In his youth, he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout.
Jarrod was a friend to all and never met a stranger. He enjoyed all sports, especially NASCAR. Jarrod was a loving father, grandfather, brother, nephew, cousin, dog dad, friend and son. He will be greatly missed by all.
Jarrod is survived by his mother Peggy deVillers, stepfather Chip deVillers, brother Jeremy (Halie) Clinedinst, stepdaughter Cheyanne Ball and grandson Kingston, nieces Raygan and Kinsley, beloved dogs Nova and Lux, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
In addition to his father, Jarrod was preceded in death by his uncles: Earl Clinedinst, Bill Sheasby, Rick Sheasby and Mike Sheasby; aunt Sally Sheasby; cousins Kevin Clinedinst and Jonathon Sheasby; paternal grandparents Gene and Bessie Clinedinst; maternal grandparents Bill Sr. and Eva Sheasby; and step-grandparents Eli and Mary deVillers.
Friends may call on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 4 to 6 pm, followed by a service at 6 pm at the Snyder Funeral Home, Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. A graveside service will be held on Thursday beginning at 11 am in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
