William G. (Bill) Albert, 83, of Mount Vernon, passed away on September 22, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 14, 1943, to Forrest and Mable (Conkle) Albert in Mount Vernon, OH.
Bill was a big NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed muscle cars, racing and old cars. He was a skilled woodworker, and he loved listening to oldies music. The most important thing to Bill was spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, of 56 years, Peggy (Crawford) Albert; daughters Jodie (Kevin) Boyd of Mount Vernon, OH and Angie (Aaron) Hedges of Mount Vernon, OH; grandchildren Kelsie (Gage) Cook, Jordan (Brad) Hill, Tim (Grace) Boyd, Hannah (Luke) Zolman, RJ Boyd; great-grandchildren Noah, Emery, Rhett, Penelope, Easton, Christian, Addalyn and Gabe; a brother Gary Albert of Mount Vernon, OH and many aunts and uncles.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours will be Friday, September 25, 2026, from 11:00am – 12:30pm at Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High Street, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Funeral services will be at 12:30pm with Pastor Bill Barton officiating, graveside services will follow at Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon, OH.
