MOUNT VERNON — The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) released the Career Technical Planning District (CTPD) Report Cards for the 2025-2026 school year.
Knox County Career Center (KCCC) CTPD received a 5-star rating, which means KCCC significantly exceeds state standards. The school met 100% (9 of 9) of the federal indicators.
This is the fourth consecutive year the KCCC CTPD received a 5 out of a 5-star rating.
KCCC CTPD received 4 stars for achievement. The data showed an 89.3-percent passage rate for technical skill attainment.
KCCC CTPD received a 5-star rating for its graduation rate. The data showed that the school’s four-year graduation rate was 98.7 percent, and the five-year rate was 98.6 percent.
KCCC CTPD also received a 5-star rating in career & post secondary readiness. The data showed the rating increased from 110.9 percent to 116.6 percent.
This number continues to improve as the center increases the number of students in work-based learning opportunities, apprenticeships, internships, and those earning 12-point industry credentials.
KCCC CTPD received a 5-star rating in post-program putcomes. The data showed a post-program placement of 95.7 percent for the CTPD. The KCCC High School had a post-program placement rate of 96.1 percent.
“We are excited to receive a 5-star rating. We always strive for excellence as we work to prepare students for success,” KCCC Superintendent Kathy Greenich said.
“Students at KCCC leave well prepared with industry credentials, work experience, and professional skills. We continue to partner with our associate schools to assist them in providing career technical education to as many students as possible in Knox County.
“I’m very proud of the career tech education options that we offer in Knox County and all of the work of our teachers and staff.”
About the CTPD data
The CTPD results are made up of data from the Knox County Career Center High School and other career tech programs in the six associate schools: Centerburg, Clear Fork, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown, and Mount Vernon.
The data comes from the students enrolled in half-day career tech programming at KCCC and also in the associate schools where career tech classes are offered by class period in areas such as Ag, Family Consumer Science and Project Lead the Way, among others.
