Ryan Bohdan Cavanaugh, age 54, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at his residence. He was born on February 16, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ronald and Natalie (Semczyszyn) Cavanaugh.
Ryan loved riding motorcycles and it gave him inner peace. He enjoyed playing games with his family members. Ryan was a sports fan and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs and White Sox. Most of all he loved his kids and grandkids.
Ryan is survived by his wife, Stephanie Gibson; children, Nicholas Cavanaugh, Brianna (Gordon) Wolfe, Isabella Cavanaugh, Cian Cavanaugh, Haleigh Cavanaugh, and Alexsys Cavanaugh; grandchildren, Aubree, and Colter; brothers, Michael Mrozik and Michael McGuire; a sister, Caitlin Melton; mother-in-law, Gail Gibson; sister-in-law, Crystal Gibson.
Along with his father, Ryan is preceded in death by his grandmother, Maria Semczyszyn; and father-in-law, Vernon Gibson.
