MOUNT VERNON — Knox Public Health is offering community clinics for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) and flu vaccinations and reminds families to stay current on back-to school vaccinations.
The MMR vaccination clinics started on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at the Middlebury Township Hall.
The flu shot clinics will start on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at the Centerburg Senior Center beginning at 9 a.m.

Appointments are preferred for the clinics, but walk-ins will be accepted. To make an appointment, call 740-399-8008 option 2.
Flu vaccination will be available for adults and children, ages, 6 mos. of age and older. Medicaid, Medicare and most forms of insurance will be accepted for payment. Otherwise, the cost is $40 for the flu shot. Payment can be made by cash or by check.
Clinic attendees need to bring their ID and medical/insurance card.

If you are unable to make it to a community vaccination clinic event or would like to schedule your child’s back-to-school vaccination, an appointment can be scheduled at the Knox County Community Health Center at 11660 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon by calling 740-399-8008 option 2.
