Frederick V. Allen, 70, of Fredericktown died on Monday morning, August 24, 2026 at OhioHealth Mansfield. He was born on October 30, 1955 in Mount Vernon to the late Conard and Catherine (Koenig) Allen.
Fred retired from United Precast in Mount Vernon. He loved to restore old cars and travel with his wife, Jane.
Fred is survived by his wife, Jane (Horn) Allen, whom he married on August 24, 1979; a son, Robert Allen of Coshocton; grandchildren, Tyler Allen, Jonathan Allen, Darynne Breighner and Taylor Breighner; great grandchildren, Waylon and Ronan, and Ella; brothers, Ralph (Janet) Allen of Rockford, IL, Henry (Carmen) Allen of Mount Vernon, and Seppie (Sylvia) Koenig of Austria; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Flowers Chapel, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon where a funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
