Scott Spitler’s first season at Fredericktown was a resounding success. The Freddies reached the playoffs for the sixth straight season. Replacing All-Ohio quarterback Blake Sipes won’t be easy. Sipes rushed for 1,078 yards and eight touchdowns and threw for 792 yards and eight TDs. First-team All-Ohioan Gavin Toombs was a menace on both sides of the ball. The Walsh recruit led the KMAC with 10.5 sacks as a defensive end and caught 26 passes for 392 yards and three touchdowns as a tight end.
