James W. “Pappy” Christine Sr. of Delaware passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2026. James was born November 10, 1962 in Ashland, Ohio and was the son of the late Clyde William Christine and Joan Edna Garbeth.
James was a Delaware resident most of his adult life and a former Loudonville/Mount Vernon resident. He worked in the construction trade as an independent contractor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with friends and family.
James is survived by his children, Cynthia, Joseph, James Jr. and Christopher; his three sisters, Anastasia (Troy) Gallagher, Carrie Buckles, and Valerie Heston; his stepmother, Frieda Norris; along with nephew, Phillip McNabb and several nieces and nephews. In addition to family, James is survived by his beloved dog, Louie; close friends, Mark Wallace, DJ Ewing, Craig and Mandy Campbell; and his former wife, Lorraine Christine.
There will be no viewing. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. A memorial wake will be held at a future date.
