MOUNT VERNON — Ethan Swendal had a good day in the ring on Tuesday, bringing home Grand and Reserve Champion honors in the beef market dairy steer show.
He also brought home the Grand Champion award in the dairy market feeder show.
Swendal, 18, is a member of the Creative Kids 4-H Club.
Gage Robinson won Reserve Grand Champion in the dairy market feeder show. A member of Knox Cattle Kids 4-H, Robinson also showed the Grand Champion in the born, Bred, and Raised category.
Cade Strausbaugh won Reserve Grand Champion honors in the Born, Bred, and Raised category. The 13-year-old member of Cabin Crew 4-H also was the beef feeder Reserve Grand Champion.
Mount Vernon FFA member Malia Goodwin was the beef feeder Grand Champion.
Grand and Reserve Champion in the market beef show went to Kellen Algire, Country Critters, and Kayleen Small, respectively. Small is a member of Boots and Banners 4-H.
In the market beef Born, Bred, and Raised category, 18-year-old Austin Frazier showed the Grand Champion. He also took home Grand Champion honors in the market dairy steer carcass show.
Kenzie Staats, Chapelview Barn Buddies, won market dairy steer Reserve Champion carcass.
Grand and Reserve Champion honors in the market beef carcass category went to James Stachler, Chapelview Barn Buddies, and Bailee Smith, Little Rascals 4-H.
The rabbit showmanship and breeding shows were also held on Tuesday. Below is a list of results of Tuesday’s shows.
