MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Treasurer’s Office mailed out real estate and manufactured home tax bills on July 22.

Knox County Treasurer Connie Durbin reminds property owners taxes are due on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026.

Payments may be made in the treasurer’s office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Payment can also be made online through the treasurer’s site at www.co.knox.oh.us. Click on county offices, then treasurer’s office. There is a fee charged by a third-party processor for credit and debit cards. Taxes can be paid with an e-check, which has a $1 fee.

Mailed payments must be postmarked no later than Aug. 26 to avoid a penalty.

Property owners are responsible for paying their taxes even if a statement is not received. Contact the treasurer’s office at (740) 393-6735 if you did not receive your statement.
