MOUNT VERNON — The Capt. Peter Chapman II Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol has announced the following cadet promotions for the month of July 2026.

Cadet Airmen Neomi Hoskins and Abigail Hudson have been promoted to Cadet Airmen 1st Class upon completion of the General Hap Arnold Achievement of the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program.

Cadet Staff Sergeants Jenna Jurkowitz and Benjamin Steele have been promoted to Cadet Technical Sergeants upon completion of the Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker Achievement.

In addition to these promotions, the following adult members received the Civil Air Patrol Achievement Award for outstanding duty performance from outgoing unit commander, CMSgt Craig Cox: 1st Lt. Kimberly Cox, 2nd Lt. Harrison Lingel, 1st Lt. John Morgan, Capt. Ronald Winget and SM Daniel Wilson.

The Capt. Peter Chapman II Composite Squadron meets every Monday evening at 6 p.m. at the Knox County Airport terminal building.

The Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program is open to youth ages 12 to 18. The program focuses on Leadership, Aerospace Education, Physical Fitness and Character Development.
