Kathleen “Kathe” Helen (Heffley) Reinhard, age 76, of Fredericktown, passed away May 17, 2026. She was born on February 17, 1950 in Newark, Ohio to the late Charles and Alice (Grattan) Heffley.
Kathe worked in the commercial loan department of First Knox National Bank before retiring in 2016 to become a full time Gigi. She was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul parish.
Kathe could bring books to life with her magical reading voice, and games to life with her vivid imagination. She was always the favorite playmate of her grandchildren. Whether it be makeovers and dolls, or her special game of “Dog Town”, any time spent with Kathe was great fun!
If there was one thing Kathe could count on, it was finding herself in the middle of an unforgettable adventure. Somehow, whenever she came along, the unexpected happened. She once directed her husband to take a wrong turn and landed the family in the middle of a parade in New York. What could have been disasters became the stories everyone laughed about for years because Kathe had a way of making even life’s mishaps worth remembering.
When she wasn’t making memories with her family, Kathe could usually be found with a cozy mystery in her hands, working through a word puzzle, or conquering another level of Candy Crush.
Her family will remember her for her loving heart, her quick wit, and her uncanny ability to turn unexpected events into unforgettable memories. She taught us that sometimes the best adventures begin with a wrong turn.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Reinhard and Jeffrey (Tracy) Reinhard; her grandchildren, Jordyn, Jaide, and Katelyn Reinhard; and her great-grandchildren, Bryson, Charlotte, and Noah Reinhard.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anton “Tony” Reinhard; her adored stepmother, Anna Heffley; her brother, John Heffley; and her stepsister, Ingrid Robb.
