Barbara Marie Morrison, 92, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026. She was born on May 27, 1934 to her hard-working coal mining father, Ralph Auflick and mother, Marie (Kiefer) Auflick in Nelsonville, Ohio.
Later, her family moved to Richland County, where Barbara met her husband, Roger Morrison, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. The grit and warmth of her hometown shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Throughout her life, Barbara worked in various roles, including head bank teller, secretary, and service representative. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking delicious meals for them.
Barbara is survived by her son, Michael (Lissa) Morrison of Hicksville, Ohio; daughter, Robin (Mark) Dailey of Fredericktown, Ohio; grandchildren, Trent (Liz) Mason, Courtney (Bill) Farley, Curtis Morrison, and Chad Morrision; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Welch of Fredericktown, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Morrison; sisters, Joanne Auflick and Jean Saunders; and brothers, Ralph Jr., Paul and Bill Auflick.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd., Mount Vernon with Pastor Jimmy Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at the Country Court Nursing Center and the staff of Luminary Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Barbara.
