MOUNT VERNON — Ohio’s premier automotive showcase, The Event 5, is coming to Ariel-Foundation Park on Saturday.
The gathering of Hypercars, Supercars, and Exotics will take over the park to raise critical support and awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Event 5 is dedicated to granting life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
During the afternoon, several Make-A-Wish children will get the opportunity to slide into the passenger seat and go for rides in some of the world’s most elite and exotic hypercars, creating unforgettable memories for the children and their families.
To maximize fundraising efforts for the cause and safely accommodate these unique vehicles, The Event 5 has reserved the central portion of Ariel-Foundation Park.
Tickets, times, and park closures
During the event, the Lakes, the Meadows, and the Heart of Ohio Trail will remain fully open and free to the public, allowing regular park visitors to enjoy those areas as usual.
However, the rest of the park grounds (including the Rastin Observation Tower, Schnormeier Event Center, Urton Clock House, and adjacent parking lots) will be closed to the public and will require paid admission to enter.
Early-entry tickets begin at 10:30 a.m., offering an extra hour and a half of distraction-free viewing before the crowds arrive.
General admission opens from noon to 4 p.m., featuring the vehicles on display with unique visual arrangements.
Children 12 years old and under receive free admission, although they must still register online to receive their event wristbands.
Because local parking is limited on the event grounds, shuttles will be available to transport attendees. Visitors can also look into Premier Parking passes online, which include a dedicated spot on the event grounds and Early Entry access.
