About the event:
Animals have all kinds of ways to avoid becoming someone else’s dinner. Some hide in plain sight, some wear armor, some bluff, some run, and some rely on toxins, venom, warning colors, or surprise. Join us as we explore the strange and fascinating world of animal defenses through hands-on activities, outdoor investigation, and real examples from the natural world. We’ll compare different survival strategies and think like biologists as we ask why animals look and behave the way they do. This program is great for families, older kids, and anyone who loves weird animal facts. Meet at the BFEC’s Resource Center.
