Paul Howard Hurlburt, age 88, of Bellville passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Brookdale Mount Vernon.
He was born on December 4, 1937, in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Elza and Esther (Schaeffer) Hurlburt. Paul worked and retired from General Motors, in Mansfield, with over 25 years of service. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellville. He enjoyed tinkering and working on cars. But most of all he loved the time he spent with his family and close friends. Paul was a veteran serving in the United States Navy from 1955-1959.
He is survived by is wife, of over 69 years, Alice Marciene (Russell) Hurlburt; his son Jess (Shirley) Hurlburt; his daughter Nancy (Tim) Teeter; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Kala) Hurlburt, Justin (Emily Hall) Hurlburt, Cody (Brandy) Teeter, Tara (John Mills) Teeter; seven great grandchildren; his brother Robert Hurlburt; and his sister Erma Adams.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother James Hurlburt; and his sister Mary Metcalf.
In keeping with Paul’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a memorial service at a day and time to be announced.
