V. Kay Mills, 71 of Utica, OH passed away on May 25, 2026 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 20, 1955 to John and Emma (Bucy) Rowley in Mount Vernon, OH.
Kay enjoyed watching sports and reality TV especially God Rush and Alaskan Bush People. Kay spent much of her time caring for her sister Paula. Her favorite thing was playing cards with her grandchildren.
Kay is survived by her children Carrie (Jacob) Streby of Frazeysburg, OH, Fred (Brittany Hupp) Mills of Frazeysburg, OH; grandchildren Nathan Streby, Malena Streby, Noah Beckley, Kiersten Mills, Mazlynn Mills and Laynie Mills; siblings Paula Rowley of Frazeysburg, OH, Nancy Cochren of Mount Vernon, OH, Richard (Linda) Rowley of Gambier, OH; a brother in law Larry Mills of Bladensburg, OH; a sister in law Karen Martin of Gambier, OH; and many extended family members.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband Garry, a brother Robert Martin and her parents.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made in Kay’s memory to any local Hospice branch or Special Olympics Organization.
The family is still making arrangements for services for Kay.
