Rosemary Wallace, 80, of Mount Vernon passed away on April 26, 2026 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. She was born on November 12, 1945 to Dale Oakely and Dorothy Jewel (Stiltner) Whited in Grundy, VA.

Rosemary was a member of the Church of God on Pine Street in Mount Vernon. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Mount Vernon and the Nevada Bowling League for 20 years. Rosemary loved bowling and playing Bingo. She enjoyed growing flowers in her yard. Rosemary was very social, she was known to be a social butterfly.

Rosemary is survived by her daughters Roseanna (Dale) Rayburn of Howard, OH, Jeannette (Mark) Fell of Delaware, OH and Janie (Christopher) Thompson of Mount Vernon, OH; grandchildren Mike Wallace, Amanda Elkins, Virginia Thompson, Cody Rayburn, Zach Rayburn; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Ruby Morgan of Mansfield, OH, Velda Compton of Mount Vernon, OH, Loretta (Harlan) Zolman of Mount Vernon, OH, Faye Armstrong of Galion, OH and Kay Irey of Galion, OH; Rosemary’s closest and dearest friend Sylvia Lind of Mansfield, OH and many extended family members.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; grandsons Christopher D. Thompson and Mitchell A. Thompson; sisters Joyce Kissell, Lana Wallace and Shirley Swihart; brothers Bill Whited and Leonard Whited and her first Husband.

Calling hours will be Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm with a Funeral Service at 6:00pm with Pastor Dan Oakes presiding.
