JoAnn Bevington-Kirk passed away on the evening of April 23, 2026, in Mount Vernon, Ohio at the age of 80. She was born on December 16, 1945 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late James and Francis Coffing.
After graduating from Fredericktown High School in 1963, she went to Cosmetology School in Columbus. In 1977, she started working for Kokosing Construction Company, LLC & filled many roles with the company for 38 years. JoAnn loved animals of any kind, especially horses. She showed horses at the Knox County Fair & the Ohio State Fair, she also loved being outside for her daily walk around the farm with her dogs. She had a gift for sewing & could make anything if she saw it.
JoAnn is survived by her daughter, Heidi (Steve) Ehret of Fredericktown; three grandchildren: Tyler (Rachel), Brittney (Stephen) Lunt & Hailey Ehret; 1 great grandchild: Callahan Ehret. JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband’s, James L. Bevington & Donald D. Kirk; her parents: James & Francis Coffing; siblings: Betty Horn & Bobby Coffing.
