HOWARD — The visiting Centerburg Trojans scored 10 runs in the third inning en route to a 22-1 conference win over East Knox on Tuesday.
Centerburg scored 22 runs on 18 hits and one error. Senior Abby Herron went 4-for-4, including home run number 13 and had five runs batted in. Herron leads the Knox Morrow Athletic Conference in home runs and batting average.
Morgan Beaver and Jeannae Dial each worked two innings on the mound for the Lady Trojans.
The Lady Bulldogs scored one run on four hits and three errors.
East Knox travels to Centerburg for a rematch on Wednesday. Game time is 5:15 p.m.
