Lloyd ‘Pete’ Hyatt, 86 of Fredericktown passed away on April 10, 2026 at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on March 20, 1940 to William Lewis C. and Isabella C. (Lahmon) Hyatt in Fredericktown, OH.

Pete retired from MVDC with 30 years of service as a night shift supervisor. Pete was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed tinkering on things and playing cards. In his younger years Pete liked boating and taking trips to Wheeling, West Virginia to watch the dog races. Pete loved going mushroom hunting with his son Brian. Pete’s yard was always pristine, and he loved mowing the grass. Pete and Doris enjoyed going out to eat, especially to Amish Country for lunch. He was a good friend to his neighbors, who he enjoyed visiting with.

Pete is survived by his wife Doris (Tablett) Hyatt; children Brian (Marie) Hyatt of Fredericktown, OH Lorie (Kenny) Davis of Mount Vernon, OH, Deborah (Steve) Davis of Killbuck, OH, Tracy (David) Hines of Mansfield, OH; grandchildren Ashlyn Hyatt, Brittany Gunter, Tim Wilson, Sam Wilson, Doug Wilson; great grandchildren Sophia, Joviegh Wilson, Lincoln Wilson, Hayes Wilson, Hudsen Wilson, Landon Wilson, Ellianna Wilson; sisters Florence Vasbinder, Helen Hines and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Marie Hyatt, brothers in law Charles Vasbinder and Richard Hines, a stepson Gerald Wilson

In keeping with Pete’s wishes there will be no services.
