Victor A. Ray Jr., 67, of Johnstown passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. He was born on March 8, 1959 in Columbus to the late Victor and Rita (Baltzer) Ray Sr.
Victor retired from the New Albany Country Club where he worked in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Mount Vernon. Victor loved going fishing, hunting, and being on his boat. He enjoyed spending time with his friends. Victor will be remembered for being able to make anyone laugh and make your day brighter.
Victor is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rita (Salyer) Ray; daughters, Valerie and Rita Ray; grandchildren, Damien, Logan, Morgan, Dakota and De-Sean; great grandchildren, Dallas and De-Sean; sister, Pamela (Robert) Cline; brother, Mark (Tami) Ray; sisters-in-law, Rena (Ken), Rhonda, and Danielle (Jon); brother-in-law, Jess (Debbie); several nieces and nephews; a special great niece, Ella Fae; and his beloved canine companion, Yoder.
The family will observe a private service at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Victor’s memory to the American Cancer Society or Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio.
