Paul W. Losh Sr., 90, of Mount Vernon passed away on Monday evening, April 13, 2026 in the Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio Unit at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on June 30, 1935 in Mount Vernon to the late William and Flora (Young) Losh.
Paul honorably served his country in the Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky. For 23 years, he worked for the former Continental Can in Mount Vernon and retired from the City of Mount Vernon. Paul was a faithful member of the Saint John the Baptist Parish attending Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was active the vicariate group. He enjoyed collecting glassware, golfing, hunting, bowling, fishing, canoeing and traveling with his family.
Paul is survived by his children, Paul W. Losh Jr. Regina Wolfe; John (Christine) Losh and Anthony (Stacia) Losh; grandchildren, Devon, Linsay, Macy, Reagan, and Alexander; great grandchildren, Olivia, Owen, Dylan, Wyatt, and Evelyn; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (McGarvey) Losh on April 16, 2021; a son, Michael Losh on October 29, 2009; sisters, Mary, Dolores, and Celia; and brothers, Rev. Father Joseph Losh and James Losh.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Flowers Chapel, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon. A prayer service will follow the visitation with Deacon Tim Birie presiding.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Father Thomas Petry as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Mount Vernon with Military Honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
