Lillian M. (Chanay) Wells, age 69, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at her home with her loving family at her side.
She was born on April 30, 1956, in Akron, Ohio to the late Harold and Florence (Golz) Chanay. Lillian enjoyed theatrical plays, singing and concerts. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, karaoke, and watching television. Lillian was a proud member of the Fredericktown First Church of God. But most of all, she loved her family, her church and her church family.
She is survived by her sister Darcy (Karl) Blankenhorn; her brothers, Charles Chanay, Harold (Minty) Chanay; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her sister Geraldine Dilly.
Friends may call on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Fredericktown First Church of God from 10am – 11am. A service will follow, beginning at 11am, with Rev. Richard Prater officiating. A graveside service will take place, following the funeral, in Killbuck Cemetery at 1:30pm.
