Margaret Helen Abraham Price, age 93, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026. She was born on June 5, 1932, in Utica, Ohio, the daughter of Fred and Ethlyn (Muston) Abraham. She was a member of the Chester Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 70 years.
Margaret was a proud member of the Chesterville class of 1951 that graduated with nineteen students. She met her one and only love Ira “Bud” Price at her sophomore dance in 1949 and married him on June 15, 1951. Margaret was a wonderful seamstress and cook. She loved planting flowers, with roses being her favorite. She also enjoyed crocheting, making over four hundred warm stocking caps for the Chester Baptist Christmas boxes and twenty-seven beautiful afghans for family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (David) Robinson, Buddy (Patti Bower) Price, Carol (Dennis) McElroy and Robyn Price, all of Fredericktown, her grandchildren, Stefanie, Jarrod, Brian, Courtney, Jamie (Kerry), Jeffrey, and Emily, five great grandchildren, Sarah, Ella, Patric, Coasta, and Jac, half brothers and sisters, Norman, David, Howard, Kathy, Nancy, Barb, Joyce, and Jerry.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira “Bud” Price, a daughter, Julie Marie Price, a granddaughter, Jessica Rae McElroy, a sister, Connie Jones, a brother, Fred “Abe” Abraham, half brothers and sisters, Ed, Marie, Mary Jane, and Betty.
The family will observe private services and burial in Forest Cemetery. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Margaret Helen Abraham Price.
