Johnstown Northridge finally found a way to top Mechanicsburg 45-42 for an Ohio girls basketball victory at Northridge High on Feb. 25.

Mechanicsburg showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 16-11 advantage over Johnstown Northridge as the first quarter ended.

The Indians had a 23-21 edge on the Vikings at the beginning of the third quarter.

Johnstown Northridge broke in front at the beginning of the final quarter with a 32-31 lead over Mechanicsburg.

The Vikings got the better of the final-quarter scoring, finishing the game in style with a 13-11 edge.
