Dena Sue Butler, 84, of Mount Liberty passed away on February 21, 2026 at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on September 4, 1941 to John and Inez (Fay) Edwards in Delaware County, OH.
Dena was a member of the Centerburg Christian Church. She worked part time for the Knox County Veterans Affairs Office, The Sewing Center and she was an Avon Sales Consultant. Dena enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and fishing on Lake Erie.
Dena is survived by her husband Paul Oliver Butler; her children Paul (Sherrie) Butler of Walhonding, OH; grandchildren Jordan Lawless of Powell, OH, Ericka (Chase Frazee) Craven of Danville, OH, Andrew (Michele) Butler of Sandusky, OH, Nicole (Alex) McGough of Howard, OH; great grandchildren Silas McGough, Hunter McGough and Tristan Lawless; Brother William (Hazel) Coe of Centerburg, OH and many extended family members.
Dena was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Reshelle Butler and a sister Julia E. Cunningham.

Graveside services will be Friday, February 27, 2026, 12:00pm at Mount Liberty Cemetery.
