Roscoe Davis Jr, age 77, of Butler, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, Ohio. He was born on September 21, 1948, in Winfield, Tennessee, to the late Roscoe and Virgie “Marie” (Trammell) Davis Sr.

Roscoe graduated from Mount Vernon High School in the class of 1967. Many years ago, he worked for Gas Town Service Station and recently with Pittsburgh Plate Glass and American National Can. He enjoyed hunting, especially coon and deer. Roscoe even drag raced at Pacemakers in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He loved watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals on TV.

Roscoe is survived by his loving wife, Sondra “Sandy” Davis; children, Kevin (Jackie) Davis, Lisa Brown; grandchildren, Cole (Addy) Davis, Brode Davis, Lucas (Kori) Brown; a brother, Alfred (Shelba) Davis; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Roscoe is preceded in death by his brothers, Thurman, Rubin, and Ralph Davis; a son-in-law, Roger Brown.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 5-7 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home; 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050 with a funeral service to be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Amity Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Marvin Haught.
