Charles L. Cline, 79 of Mount Vernon passed away on January 25, 2026, at Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon, OH. He was born on January 8, 1947, to Lewis Otho and Celia Frances (Wood) Cline in Mount Vernon, OH.
Charles was a former member of the First Baptist Church. Charles loved old cars, classic cars and trucks. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force.
Charles is survived by his wife Diane (Schwetz) Cline; a sister Fran Marchall of Mount Vernon; a nephew Brian McDonough of Mount Vernon, OH; great nephew Cole McDonough of Mount Vernon, OH and long time friends the Bird family.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and an unborn son Joshua Aaron Cline.
In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions can be made in Charles’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Calling hours will be Friday, January 30, 2026 from 11:00am – 12:00pm at Flowers – Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High Street, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Funeral services will take place at 12:00pm at the Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Overly officiating. Graveside services will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
