Brenda Hubbard, 70, of Marengo, Ohio, passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 9, 2026. Brenda was a gentle soul who found comfort in life’s quiet moments. She enjoyed watching birds, sitting outside on the porch, and getting lost in a good book. Those simple pleasures brought her peace, and she shared that calm presence with everyone around her. Brenda also found deep purpose in caring for others and took great pride in her work as a nurse aide, where her compassion, patience, and dedication made a meaningful difference in the lives of those she cared for.

Nothing brought Brenda greater joy than her family, especially her granddaughters, who truly lit up her life. They filled her days with laughter, love, and purpose, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Brenda is survived by her son, Joey Hubbard (Brandi); her stepson, Steve Hubbard (Terrie); granddaughters: Mackenzie and her fiancé Ed, Karaline, and Jojo, step-grandson Colton, and half brother George Helton.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Hubbard; her son, Shane Hubbard; her father, Jerry Etue; brother Joe Etue; and her mother and stepfather, Laury and Arnold Helton.

Brenda is now at peace, reunited in Heaven with her husband Jack of 50 years and her son Shane gone since 1991. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is surrounded by love once again, watching over those she held so dear.
