CENTERBURG — A delicious tradition continued on Sunday as the fifth annual Centerburg Cookie Walk unfolded in the village.
Children streamed past an eclectic mix of businesses, eager to add to their stash. Double chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal, lemon, and decorated sugar cookies were among the delights children collected from the 20 merchants who participated in the walk.
Adults got in on the treats, too, as ReMax Peak provided warm, gooey s’mores.
The weather added to the holiday atmosphere, with temperatures in the 30s and a few wisps of snowflakes. Refrains of “Merry Christmas!” were heard as friends, young and old, greeted each other.
Centerburg’s Heart of Ohio Business Association hosted the cookie walk.
