Robert D. “Rob” Fowler, 55, of Mount Vernon passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus following a 20 year courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born on December 5, 1969 in Mount Vernon to the late William D. and Sharyn L. (Shotts) Fowler.
Before Rob’s illness, he worked in the Quality Control division of Holophone. He grew into someone whose presence could fill a room – steady, fearless, and full of heart. He loved the quiet stillness of early mornings in the woods, spending countless hours hunting and enjoying the peace of the outdoors. But nothing brought him more joy than the time spent with his daughter and granddaughter. They were his proudest accomplishments and the center of his world, and he never missed a chance to show them how much he cared.
A true cowboy at heart, he carried a bold spirit throughout his life. He spent years riding bulls, embracing the grit, adrenaline, and determination the sport demanded. The same unshakeable courage followed him into every chapter of life.
He leaves behind a family who will forever miss his laughter, his stories, and the way he showed his love through action. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing his legacy lives on in the strength he passed down, the memories he gave us, and the love he never stopped giving.
Rob is survived by his daughter, Ashley Fowler of Mount Vernon; granddaughter, Wrenley Fowler; and his life partner, Amber Fowler of Mount Vernon.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Flowers Chapel 619 East High St., Mount Vernon.
