DANVILLE — The Danville FFA Chapter has received a generous $4,900 grant from the Grants For Growing, funded by a partnership with Tractor Supply Company.
The grant is aimed at enhancing the chapter’s welding curriculum by purchasing updated equipment for all members of the chapter to benefit from the hands-on experiences the equipment will provide.
The grant is part of Tractor Supply Co.’s ongoing commitment to supporting youth in agriculture through the Grants For Growing program.
Through initiatives like this, the company continues to invest in the future of agriculture and the education of the next generation of agricultural leaders.
With the new welders, students will have more opportunities to build and refine skills in metal fabrication, an important part of the FFA’s agricultural mechanics curriculum.
Chapter advisor Mr. Myers said “the chapter is grateful for the partnership with Tractor Supply Co, because the grant funding will provide Danville FFA students with valuable hands-on experiences for years to come with the purchase of the updated equipment.”
Current chapter officer Maycee Samples shared her thoughts on receiving the grant, “We are incredibly grateful to Tractor Supply Company for this grant, because it will allow for myself and others to learn valuable hands-on skills that are transferable to our future.”
In addition, “These funds will allow us to provide our students with safer, more advanced tools and give them real-world skills that they can take beyond the classroom,” said Danville FFA Vice President, Sierra Shields.
The Danville FFA is extremely grateful to be a recipient of the 2025-2026 Grants For Growing Funding, made possible by Tractor Supply Co.
We would also like to thank the community for continued support of our program and we would like to invite you to follow all with the process as we will post updates once we begin to use the new equipment.
