MOUNT VERNON — Election of the five-member Governing Board of the Knox County Educational Service Center (ESC) on Nov. 4 will be by write-in ballots.

The Knox County Board of Elections has certified general election ballot language as follows:

Vote for no more than 3. Term commencing on Jan. 1, 2026

The Knox ESC operates preschools in Mount Vernon, Centerburg, East Knox and Fredericktown and The Learning Center, a K-12 alternative school in Mount Vernon.

In addition, Knox ESC provides direct services to the Centerburg, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown, Mount Vernon and Clear Fork public school districts, including the vetting and hiring of approximately 200 classroom aides.
