About the event:

This fall’s Poetry Potluck features acclaimed poet Andrew Grace, debuting his new poetry collection, A
Brief History of the Midwest. Andy will read from his work, then lead participants through a generative
poetry workshop. Attendees should bring something to write with, or on. The workshop is open to writers
age 18+ and we’ll have a few complimentary copies of A Brief History of the Midwest available to
attendees on a first come, first-served basis.
Andrew Grace has published three books of poems: A Belonging Field (Salt Publishing), Shadeland (Ohio
State University Press) and SANCTA (Ahsahta/Foundlings). His work has appeared in the New Yorker,
Poetry, Boston Review and New Criterion. A former Stegner Fellow at Stanford, he is a Senior Editor at the
Kenyon Review and teaches at Kenyon College. His fourth collection A Brief History of the Midwest was
published by Black Lawrence Press in May 2025.
