BUTLER — The Prairie Peddler Festival will return Sept. 27–28 and Oct. 4–5, bringing more than 220 artisans, nearly 25 food vendors and four stages of live entertainment to 3170 State Route 97.
Surrounded by the scenic fall woods, the outdoor marketplace features everything from primitive décor and handmade gifts to kettle corn, horse-drawn wagon rides and kids’ activities.
“We always have new items every year with vendors,” said festival coordinator Mandi Sanford. “The weather is supposed to be great.
“Since it has been so hot, we are looking forward to it cooling down and this event ushering in fall.”
Whether you come to browse, eat, listen or just enjoy a fall weekend outdoors, Prairie Peddler delivers a one-of-a-kind festival. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for vendor spotlights, festival updates and chances to win free tickets.

Guests will find larger portable restroom units throughout the festival and a designated changing/nursing room at the back information booth.

To help with traffic flow, those traveling east on State Route 97 are encouraged to take the second entrance between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Look for directional signs at the corner of State Route 97 and Wheatcraft Road.
Kids’ activities
Children can enjoy a variety of hands-on experiences, from sand art, soap and candle making, to pony rides and a free petting zoo.
The Kidzone offers additional activities such as face painting, crafts and building birdhouses or pirate ships. (Activities range from $4 to $15, with proceeds supporting children battling cancer.)
