MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Grand Jury indicted a man from Marysville during its most recent session for allegedly stealing from the Lowe’s hardware store in Mount Vernon.

On or about Sept. 2, Keanu A. Williams allegedly committed theft, a fifth-degree felony, by stealing $1,099 worth of merchandise from the store, the indictment reads.

The jury handed down a felony charge as opposed to a misdemeanor because the amount allegedly stolen exceeded $1,000, per the Revised Code of Ohio.

The Knox County Common Pleas Court has not yet scheduled an arraignment hearing for Williams’ case.

Scott A. Schellenbarg, Newark, aggravated possession of drugs, third-degree felony.

Eric L. Strosnider, Mount Vernon, failure to provide change of address, fourth-degree felony.

Ronald J. Harmon, Mount Vernon, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, fifth-degree felony; possessing drug abuse instruments, second-degree misdemeanor.

Michael J. Deem, Mount Vernon, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, fifth-degree felony; driving while intoxicated, first-degree misdemeanor.

Jeffrey A. Petrey, Mansfield, aggravated possession of drugs, third-degree felony.

Candace D. Goody, Columbus, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony.

Philip K. Cathers, Columbus, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, fifth-degree felony.
