MOUNT VERNON — On Wednesday, Oct. 1, the WNZR staff will celebrate the station’s 39th anniversary with a 90+9 ice cream giveaway at 800 Martinsburg Road.

From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., staff members will hand out 99 cups of ice cream in the chapel parking lot of Mount Vernon Nazarene University. The ice cream is courtesy of Round Hill Dairy.

Community members can enjoy a variety of ice cream flavors, grab a WNZR promo item, pose for a pic with Big Blue and the Big Blue Crew, sing a birthday song for a WNZR Guitar Flyswatter, and listen to fun tunes that recap the station’s 39 years on the air.

Anyone who would like to share how God has used WNZR to impact their life, or how its music or programming has blessed them, is encouraged to email wnzr@mvnu.edu or use the WNZR app.

On the WNZR app, there is a feature called “Open Mic” where you can record a 15-second audio message about the Lifeline.  You can also send a photo or video via the  “Submit Media” feature.
