MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon residents enjoyed the last 2025 First Friday event on Main Street as summer draws to a close and kids head back to school.
The back-to-school themed event marked the fourth and final party of Experience Mount Vernon‘s summer series.

MTV Arts’ cast members from The SpongeBob Musical gave a sneak peek at the upcoming show.
A classic car cruise-in set up on Vine Street featured a State Highway Patrol Chevrolet Corvette.
Live music echoed through the streets for locals to enjoy around the square.
Several local upper-level schools also tabled around the downtown area, answering questions for students, future students and parents alike.
