Sparta Highland notched a win against Coshocton 24-7 for an Ohio high school football victory at Highland High on Sept. 5.

Sparta Highland moved in front of Coshocton 8-7 to begin the second quarter.

Each offense authored its Rip Van Winkle imitation, napping through barren second and third quarters.

The Fighting Scots got the better of the final-quarter scoring, finishing the game in style with a 16-0 edge.

Last season, Sparta Highland and Coshocton squared off on Sept. 6, 2024 at Coshocton High School.

In recent action on Aug. 22, Sparta Highland faced off against Fredericktown and Coshocton took on W. Lafayette Ridgewood on Aug. 22 at Ridgewood High School.
