MOUNT VERNON — United Way of Knox County invites community members to take part in Day of Caring 2025.

This annual event brings together individuals, families, and workplace teams to make a lasting impact through volunteer projects taking place across the county.

“Day of Caring is one of my favorite days to come to work,” said Katie Ellis, United Way of Knox County’s executive director. “It brings joy to my heart to see people from all over the county come together to serve the local agencies who do so much for our community.

“Last year, we got to paint, clean, landscape, and build. Every worksite I visited
was full of excited workers giving back. I can’t wait for this year’s event!”

Whether you join as an individual or with a team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of neighbors and strengthen the Knox County community.

Morgan Meleca, who volunteered at last year’s Day of Caring said of her experience, “Volunteering with United Way is a simple way to do good and see the impact right where you live.”
